hi.. need your help po..im a registered nurse in california, but since ive read fom this forum that extension is not permitted anymore, i am quite bothered..2012 pa mag eexpire but ayaw ko magahul sa oras before its too late..  i just wanna know what are the documents need to be submitted when applying for reciprocity/endorsement in ILLINOIS, how long will it take to process the documents. mejo naguguluhan po ako sa mga dapat na isubmit lang.. please guide me po.. from there po i can start working on it..ung about sa cgfns na verification? what should i do with it po? toefl is required, pede rin po kaya ung ielts?thank you very much! your such of big help!=)

First of all you should download this application The Illinois Board of Nursing Endorsement Packet all the instructions and application forms you need to endorse will be there. So fill out all those forms and at the same time, you need to get either a CES Report from CGFNS or if you have a CGFNS Certificate or a VisaScreen that can be used instead of a CES Report. You can use the IELTS for the CGFNS Requirements but I think you may need to present a TOEFL result. 2012 is still a long way my advise start renewing or transferring your license 6- 8 months before the expiration of your license.

DILEMMA

I failed my first NCLEX exam in Vermont.And now that Im here in Virginia i planned to apply for a retake.Unfortunately Im having a difficult time since one of the requirement for a retake is to have the nursing council in Kuwait fill up a form to verify my license(my previous work experience for the past 5 years).Mahirap kasi di nmn ako taga kuwait at wala silang site para dito.May Mnistry of Health site nga,di namn gumgana yung English version.Is it possible to apply for California board of nursing even If i have a pending application?I have a ssn and currently holding a permanent resident US visa.salamat po!

Yes it is but I think you would still have to declare that you have taken the NCLEX-RN examination before.

hi ms. joan! i’m applying for nclex in guam and i already submitted my application and requirements last sept. now, they’re requiring me to submit this “CGFNS  credentials and education verification”. do you have any idea where can i get that verification? i’m just a newly registered nurse here in PI so i badly need some advices about nclex.. thank you

hi… I would like to ask where can I follow up my nclex result?i’am waiting for almost 5 months..

You can always call your chosen selected Board of Nursing to inquire about your result. If your chosen state is part of the compact state you which you can read more about here at the NLCA Information Sheet. You can determine your result online if you registered with a compact state but of course this comes with a fee.

hi..I took up Nclex exam this October but unfortunately i failed it. and they send me a letter regarding about the SSS number. Can I get SSS number when I go to California? coz i have a Tourist visa. Can I avail to have one just for NCLEX exam only and not for employment?  Is that possible? And can i still Get Nclex here and pay again $75 dollars for re-application? How about in Vermont? what are there requirments to have the license? do I have to take first the CGFNS? I still what to take the exam again, please help me with my concerns.I’ll wait for your reply. You cannot get a SSN if you are not a legal resident of the United States of America. You can reapply and take the NCLEX-RN and pay that $75. What you can do is you can endorse your license to Vermont after you pass the California Board of Registered Nursing. In order to endorse, you need to fulfill the requirements of Vermont such as a CES Report etc.
