Hi Ms. Joan! Ask ko lng po US Immigrant po ako and nagaral po ako ng nursing sa Phils. Since I don’t have a license ano po bang pedeng ilagay why I don’t have a local licensed? I also got a letter from them na mgpadala ng copy ng passport ko, class & clinical rotation sched. Do you have any idea if they’re going to allow me to take the nclex exam? Saka po pla yung Date sa trascript that the registrar signed, dpat po ba recent dates yun? Thank you po..

Dear Ms. Gillen,
I’m happy to find your pages regarding Nclex.I am a Fil.nurse who graduated in March 2007 and took the local board exam same year but honestly,I did’nt make it,(and maybe couldn’t retake anymore since this is my second year after I graduated), so I didn’t get a license.
In Sept.2008,a year later all the school requirements asked were done and handed to me by the registrar together with the envelope with the university logo on it(probably saying I can do the mailing as if they were).
I also took an English proficiency exam but not IELTS nor Toefl,instead it was TOEIC,which many says it’s just the same and acceptable,and honestly I had scored very high.But I really need to know more and still have some questions regarding this matter before I could correctly and finally send the requirements to Sacramento BON.So please spare me your precious time regarding this.I hope you can clarify all the questions I have below:

1.May I just send a written statement why I don’t have a license?
2.Would Sacramento BON still accept the school documents given to me by the registrar in Sept.2008?
3.Are the right school documents to be enclosed in the sealed envelope provided by my school include the ff?; TOR,RLE,Certification,Breakdown of Educational Program for Int’l Nursing Programs,Nursing Program Verification,Request for Transcript all sealed.How about the Diploma?(original copy?)
4.And to send these in a different envelope?:Toeic result,what else?
5.How about the payment for my application do I have to send it the same time i send the documents? I only have an Eon debit Visa card (Union Bank),will this do?
6.Bank draft? Money order? which one?
7.Please provide me more with the best/proper steps/requirements in taking Nclex in Sac.Ca

good day miss joan,

i’m in the process of completing my application pero nagka problema po ko dun sa breakdown of educ. form. i hold two degrees, nutrition&dietetics and nursing, and both of them i took from different schools. most of the subjects except po sa microbilogy was filled up by my nursing school and i was advised na pumunta po sa previous school ko para sila naman mag-fill up noon. kasi sabi po nila hindi ko naman daw sa kanila kinuha yun subject, so i went… but when i asked them to complete the form they refused, they said that my nursing should’ve completed the form and included the said subject because they credited it in the first place. bumalik po ako sa nursing school ko and sinabi yun paliwanag ng previous school ko pero they insisted on their prior reason na hindi nila magagawa yun kasi nga hindi naman sa kanila kinuha yun subject and madi-disprove lang daw yun application ko if they do complete the form.
what do i do now?
i would really appreciate the help.

hi miss joan,
i took up my nclex last nov., 2006, but it so sadly that i did not passed… after 90 days i re-apply , then my eligibility was sent to me… until the time comes that i did not register in pearson vue and my eligibility was expired. now i am planning to re-apply it again… my board of nursing is CBNE, am i going to submit again my TOR or documents to cbne? or only the application form with the enclose of bank druft/ fee.

Hi Joan.

I would just like to ask if there is a way to follow up the application for the NCLEX eligibility in California? I submitted all my requirements last October. A month later, I received a reply stating that all of them were accepted except for the “written explanation of not holding a license”. So I again submitted a letter stating I was already an RN here in the Philippines and I will be submitting a copy of my license once i received it. 5 days later, my license was released. I immediately sent a copy to them via mail. Based from the tracking number, they received it on December 2. Up to now, I still have no reply from them. I hope you could share some insights. Thank you very much.

Thanks ms joan!! may question pa po ako, is there any other way para hndi na ako magretake?? like endorsement sa ibang state na hindi nagrerequire ng SSN to issue permanent license?? pwede po kaya yun??

hi. thank you very much for answering my questions.. uhm another thing po.
so kelangan ko din pla po pla ipass ung nursing verification form ko sa school ko?
so all in all, i need to submit 3 forms to my school, which is:
1.) Request for transcript form
2.) Breakdown of educational program for international nursing programs, (and lastly)
3.) Nursing program verification form

is that all? thanks po sobra.
i also have a question regarding with the forms.
2.) BREAKDOWN OF EDUCATIONAL chuva.. : anu ung entrance date? un ba ung first day ko na pgpasok sa skul ko? i cannot recall the exact date. ang alam ko lang june 2004. would that be enough?
and correct me if im wrong. ung mga subjects na nklagay sa form (anatomy, microbio, ms, mga gnun, tpos my 3 empty blanks sa tabi), ung school na mismo mg fifill up nun dba?
and also with the nursing program verification form, cla na lhat dba mgfifill up nun dba? (except for my personal info of course)
3.) last, ung application form po. under dun sa PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION, dun sa “CA nongraduates”, anu po ung ‘date nursng requirements completed’? un po ba ung graduation?

-mgsstart na po ko mgpass ng application dito sa CA, uhmm panu po un? pwde ko po ba ipasa na ung application form? khit wla pa ung tor (and the other documents from my school) ko? pinaprocess pa lang kc un sa pinas eh. pwde ko na ba iuna ung application? or much better na hntayin ko ung tor tpos sabay ko nalng ipasa lahat2?
-and sa anong envelope po ba dapat ilagay ung application form? ung brown one ba? if so, wat size po?
-and same goes with the forms na ipapadala ng skul sa CA BON. anung envelope po ba? dba po kasama din ung mga request form ko na binigay sa kanila? so basically issend nman nla ung mga request forms ko sa CA BON, along with the actual forms. (TOR, etc) and pwde po ba itiklop ung mga un?
-un lang, hehe. sorry po dami ko tanong. taas ng anxiety ko bout the whole thing eh. gusto ko na po tlga simulan mg process kaso di ko pa kc msyado gets, at ayoko din kumilos hanggat di pa clear ang lahat. salamat po tlga. hoping for your reply. god bless
