and one more thing.. ive already sent the transcripts yesterday, then i was talking to a classmate of mine this morning and she said i should have sent original tor and rle docs, but the lady in charge for the nclex application in our school said its ok if we send photocopies…which is true? and id like to send the application form and fingerprint cards this coming monday. i will include a photocopy of my license, should i have it notarized or certified copy, or the ordinary photocopy will do. again ms joan thanks a lot!

First of all, the TOR and RLE should come directly from the school not from you. And then for the issue of sending an original as opposed to a photocopy your friend might be correct on that one. Not unless, the photocopy is certified by the registrar as true. Its just that in these circumstances we don’t want them to have any room for doubts that might jeopardize your papers in the long run.

As for your PRC license, a photocopy would suffice but it would not hurt to attach a certified copy from PRC that you passed or have the photocopy of the license to be certified.

Yes in the foreign postal code is the zip code we use here locally for the place where you reside in.

How can I register and pay in Pearson vue via mail if i don’t have a credit card? Do I need to send the bankdraft together with the registration form, candidate bulletin and eligibility?

Yes you will send the bankdraft together with the NCLEX Examination Registration Form. There is a part in the form, in the EXAMINATION FEE box which prompts you to write the bankdraft number so indicate it there. And you only need to send the filled out registration form and the bankdraft.

hi! i just passed my nclex- california but i don’t have an ssn so i can’t have my license. am planning to file a reciprocity to the state of chicago. what website do i have to visit for the instructions and what would you suggest. eventhough 3 yrs would be an ample time but i’m worried about the retrogression.. hope you could reply. tnx!

This is the website for the Illinois Board of Registered Nursing. You are right you still have some time and I suggest that you take advantage of that time first before making any moves. A lot of things can change within that 3 year period and hopefully it would be for the best. Anyways, maybe you could use up 2 years of your period and then take action on the third year if things still don’t change by that time. Because transfering license also entails time and more importantly finances since you have to fulfill requirements from the state you want to endorse to.
