Q&A: Applying In Vermont, Getting Your Letter of Eligibility and more…

PAT

hi thanks to the info about ATT, i just got it a week ago and my problem now is to look for a good review center, can you suggest a few? thank you so much.

It depends on your study habits and your preferred review approach. Personally, I took Pentagon NCLEX-RN review and they have a comprehensive type of review especially if you want to strengthen your foundations. I have heard some good words about Kaplan as well but I think their review depends on your own pace as well. If you want some more of my insight on NCLEX-RN review materials you can read my article here.

Just want to ask kung puwede po ba ako kuha ng work as caregiver kahit I passed already my NCLEX in california? hirap po kasi pumunta as a nurse. and pag puwede ako mag caregiver puwede ko na rin po ba yung SSN para yun yung i-submit ko sa BON ng Cali. para kuha ko na licnese ko. thank you po…

I’m not sure if I am the right person to give advice to you when it comes to these kinds of things since this involves immigration issues and stuff. But I would guess that you would have a better chance as a nurse despite the retrogression issue a caregiver job only requires a HS Diploma as a requirement if I am not mistaken. But it would be best to consult this with an immigration lawyer.

I will be waiting for the eligibility this time. Will that be sent by email or is it going to be by snail mail?

The Letter of Eligibility (LOE) will be mailed to you via snail mail.

hi po pwede po bamg magpatulong kung papano yong process ng nclex application sa vermont? saka kung magkano yomg cost nun? thanks po God bless

You can download the Vermont application at the link provided. Overall cost safe estimate would be around $400- $500 since they require to have a CGFNS CES evaluation which cost around $350.

Hello! I just recently passed the Phil.Local Nurse licensure Exam. I have plans of working in the US as a nurse. I intend to take all the necessary exams before I apply for a local job for an experience. I am confused on what or where to start. Can you please give me some info.

Congratulations! I would suggest to send in applications to local hospitals while you prepare for your NCLEX-RN exams since getting a local job can take some time and can be very difficult as opposed to finishing the NCLEX-RN and then looking for a job. As for applying, you have to decide on which state you intend to apply in as each state has a different requirement. At the same time while deciding, choose whether or not to enroll in a review center or just do self study. You can actually get all of this done in around 6- 8 months considering you do your applications correctly.

Good day… I just received my IELTS result… Too bad that I only have a TBS of 6. Is it ok? i think U.S. accepts a TBS of 6 right? I still don’t have an employer yet. Do you know some agencies who process for visa screen? I already passed my NCLEX also. However, still don’t have any work experience yet. Is it ok for me to be in training program like for dialysis or accepts the 1 yr and 6 mos contract for the ICU if ever they will absorb me because I apply there for volunteer and they said that it will depends on my performance if they will hire me. But, 1 yr. 6mos. is too long. Does U.S. accepts training or volunteer experiences? Thank you for you future reply… More power…

hi ms. joan! again, thank you for your responses, i don’t know how i could get these things done without your help. remember i received a letter from cali bon wherein they asked for the photocopy of my rle? after sending it a week after, i was surprised to receive my eligibility this last week of august. it only took a month and half to be processed. question is, what do i do next? i’m going to be training at a hospital for 3 mos. and i don’t think i can fully focus on my reading. if i register @ pearson vue and i receive my att, do i get to choose my exam date? i don’t want to be caught empty-handed when my att arrives and the exam date is sooner than i think. i’m planning to take it around april or may. ;x thank you in advance!
