Q&A: Using Extra Fingerprint Cards, ATT’s Not Arriving and more…

CLEOFAS O.

Good day! I am a second courser, graduated last march 2009 and an immigrant. we’ve just moved in here in LA. 2 months ago i passed my requirements for nclex to the CA BON and today i have receive their initial evaluation of my application tellin me to submit my local license. I have also attached in my previous application my letter of explanation why i dont hold such license but still they required me too. What will i do? pls advice. thanks.

Usually you would need a more detailed explanation on why you do not hold a license here in the Philippines. It would be best to give them a call and explain your status to them and why you do not have a local license in the country you were educated. If all of this fails, you can ask PRC to write a letter in your behalf as proof on why they did not allow you to take the examination.

hi…i just arrived here in California last July 2009 as an immigrant…i finished my BS in Nursing in the Philippines last March 2009 and i didnt take my Local Board Exam because our Visa have just arriveed at that time…my question is do i have to take and pass my Local Board exam in the Philippines before taking my NCLEx here in California?… pls reply thank you

Well most of the people I have encountered here in the site with the same situation as you are were asked to provide a copy of their local license but we all know that it is not possible to take the exam if you have a different citizenship/ status. For now, what you can do is write a letter of explanation on why you do not hold a license in the country where you were educated which is stated in your question above. Hopefully, that would be enough to continue your process in applying to California BON.

I got stuck on the nursing code something part.I provided my School Name and Address and also the code that I saw on the Pearson Vue Website, but I really can’t proceed. Is it okay that I register thru phone call and not thru website? Then is it okay if my aunt in California will call the Board of Nursing and apply me an ATT since its her credit card I’ll be using?

It might have been like a computer or internet problem? Have you tried restarting the whole registration process? Well if it doesn’t work you can use the application form that comes with your candidate bulletin and send it via mail. I don’t think you can register through phone you can only call them for exam scheduling not for obtaining your ATT. It would be best if you called not unless your Aunt knows all your basic information that would be asked during the call. As long as you have the necessary credit card information you would be fine.

Hello miss Joan. Its me again ask me lng po when ma re2civ ang ATT after n nag registered sa pearsonvue kc until now wala pa me nare2civ n email from them nag check n me sa spam & junk mail ko pero ala pa rin. Thnaks po

If you applied online it usually takes minutes. I would suggest looking at your SPAM/ BULK MAIL cause usually it goes there especially if you used Yahoo! Mail. If it doesn’t appear there then it would be best to give them a call to take action to the situation. But if you sent it via mail more or less it would also arrive via mail.

i would just like to ask if my extra finger print card can be use by another person, example is my friend that don’t have a finger print card and i got like 6 copies, is that ok for her to use one of those finger print cards? pls reply im really confuse..

Yes she can use the unanswered or extra fingerprint cards it would not be an issue. Just make sure that she is applying in the same state as you are since fingerprint cards differ from one state to the other.
