How are you? Your answer deeply moved me! Yes, I have a lot of question to ask you, because I can not find  people to help me, I knew some friends who are passed the RN examination, but we have a time difference.  I am very impatient that my English is not so good.  I graduated my vocation school where is a nursing school for three years, and then I finish my two years college in Guangxi medical university of nursing school. I don’t know my vacation school with hight school are equivalent or not. In fact, I study at a some school for five years called  3+2. SO, How do I write the graduated time?

The first three years of nursing school
Histology & parasitology 160 hours( No lab practice, actually, we had lab practice when we study. I know it will be not ok, I think I have to ask school do again) they can write down together?
Micro-Biology &parasitology 54 hours(No lab practice, we had)
community health care 48 hours
medical nursing 88 hours   8 weeks
surgical nursing 120 hours  8 weeks
Gynecological & Obstetric nursing 54 hours 3 Weeks
pediatric nursing 48 hours 3weeks
Psychiatrics 16 hours (2weekS)

College for two years
pathological physiology 24 hours
internal medical nursing 54 hours  12 weeks
surgical nursing 54 hours     12 weeks
Gynecological & Obstetric nursing 36 hours 6weeks
pediatric nursing 42 hours   3weeks
Neuropathy & psychosis nursing 20 hours  (no practice, autually ,including in medical mursing or surgical nursing.)
Gerontological nursing 20 hours

I want to ask about my education is complete? and the translate is right?

I think that the important thing to note is to breakdown all the schools you entered and studied that is related to you getting a nursing degree. As for whether or not they are complete that would depend on the California Board of Nursing if it would satisfy their requirements. Just have your school breakdown all of the subjects you have taken in order to complete nursing school. And if your transcript is not in English you should have it translated with verification.

2.I apply a fingerprint form in California nursing web site, they said I have to waiting least two weeks, it means I just waiting?

Yes they will mail to you the fingerprint cards.

3. I want to talk a KAPLAN’s international class online. I am not sure, I worry about my English is poor. I want to pass within 18months. I think they will be helpful, I dont know they are worth or not? could you tell me something about practice.

I find KAPLAN’s program very expensive but if you have the means to be able to enroll in their program then that would be fine. Most of my friends who took Kaplan passed the examination. But of course each person is different. I have an article here regarding the NCLEX-RN review materials I used and you can read it by clicking on the link provided.

I am going to prepare my course description, I also have no idea. I hope you can give me some clues.

Thank u for the very informative answer but i do have one question the page 5 in the form where there is a part of the Country Licensing Authority to be filled up, does it mean the PRC??? and they will have to fill it up and sign before i can send it? (they don’t have this annway in their old retake form)

Yes it means you have to send the form to PRC and then have them mail it to the Vermont Board of Registered Nursing its like having them verify your license. PRC would be the one mailing it because I don’t think they will allow you to be the one to mail it. So the rest of the forms you would be sending on your own.

And the check should be payable to the OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE ….OF VERMONT??? or just OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE. hehe i know this is stupid question but i just wanna make sure that they will be able to cash the check so that there will be no delays in the processing. Thanks a lot joan for taking the time to reply as ur site is really helpful to nclex information seeker like us. hi, thank you for making this wonderful site.I have a question.. i have started filling my papers for california nclex 3 months ago, they sent me a letter regarding my lacking documents which i complied after a few weeks. Its been a month and i havent heard from them..do you know how can i verify if they have indeed received my papers?… is their an email or a number i could call? what would be my next step?..thanks and godbles you

Well if you sent your documents via special courier usually you can track down your package whether or not they received it or not. You can give them a call at this number +1(916) 574-7697 Mondays to Fridays 8-5 PM Pacific Time. Usually, it would take a month or two to get a reply from them considering there are no further questions with the documents they are asking plus there are a lot of factors to be considered such as the bulk of applicants, mailing etc. which needs to be considered.

hello again! i have another question mam. my sister will be petitioned as a fiance in the US. she is a nurse. she passed the NLE last year. would there be a problem in her visa application because she’s a nurse? another question mam is her fiance is in san francisco, does she need to take the CGFNS? thank you so much for helping us with our queries.. more power!

I cannot answer queries with regards to immigration and legalities as that involves a different body of knowledge. But I don’t think her being a nurse would hinder or affect the process if she is a nurse. As for your other question, California Board of Registered Nursing does not require CGFNS in order to be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam for that state.

hello! i have read so many articles about how to apply for the NCLEX exam. and it’s confusing! what is the first thing to do once you get the fingerprint card? more power and God bless.

Go to your local NBI or the one in Carriedo to accomplish the card. Once that is done, you send it together with your filled application form and corresponding fees. Make sure to answer the fingerprint card in accordance with the instructions given by the State Board you are applying to.
