Q&A: Following Up on Your VisaScreen and Not Having A Philippine RN License and more…
THURSDAY
Hello there! I have the same problem as other Cali passers have. I have a sponsor waiting for me right now at Arizona and they want to have the Cali BON endorsement to be processed BUT as we know, it is impossible to do it without the SSN or ITIN. Can somebody please advise me on what is the best way to do the endorsement to Arizona less frustrating…
You just send the license verification form of Arizona to California and pay the fee which I think is $60. Just attach a letter that you do not hold a SSN and also if possible attach the letter that they sent you when you passed the NCLEX-RN examination.

Dear Ms. Gillen, I’m happy to find your pages regarding Nclex.I am a Fil.nurse who graduated in March 2007 and took the local board exam same year but honestly,I did’nt make it,(and maybe couldn’t retake anymore since this is my second year after I graduated), so I didn’get a license.
I think there is no limit with regards how many times you would take the PNLE. You can still sit down for the exam as long as you provide them with the proper requirements.
In Sept.2008,a year later all the school requirements asked were done and handed to me by the registrar together with the envelope with the university logo on it(probably saying I can do the mailing as if they were). I also took an English proficiency exam but not IELTS nor Toefl, instead it was TOEIC,which many says it’s just the same and acceptable, and honestly I had scored very high. But I really need to know more and still have some questions regarding this matter before I could correctly and finally send the requirements to Sacramento BON.So please spare me your precious time regarding this. I hope you can clarify all the questions I have below: 1.May I just send a written statement why I don’t have a license?
You can do so but I do not see a valid reason why you do not hold a license where you were educated.
2.Would Sacramento BON still accept the school documents given to me by the registrar in Sept.2008?
It has been more than a year since that documents have been accomplished and that might be a cause of problem for you when it comes to evaluating your forms. It would be best to request another batch of those records with a more recent date.
3.Are the right school documents to be enclosed in the sealed envelope provided by my school include the ff?; TOR,RLE,Certification,Breakdown of Educational Program for Int’l Nursing Programs,Nursing Program Verification,Request for Transcript all sealed. How about the Diploma?(original copy?)
No need for the diploma actually but if you want you can just include a photocopy of your dilemma which is certified by your school never send the original.
4.And to send these in a different envelope?:Toeic result, what else?
The school documents are to be sent separately and is supposed to be sent by your school. TOEIC is not a prerequisite to be able to be eligible for the California NCLEX-RN examination.
5.How about the payment for my application do I have to send it the same time i send the documents? I only have an Eon debit Visa card (Union Bank),will this do?
You cannot pay via credit card.
6.Bank draft? Money order? which one?
Bank draft payable to the BOARD OF REGISTERED NURSING
7.Please provide me more with the best/proper steps/requirements in taking Nclex in Sac.Ca
I have an article with regards to California Application by clicking on the link provided.

i just want to know how to follow up the status of my visa screen application? i am from the philippines..i sent my application last october 30, 2009 through my review center, celc..where to contact your office? when and how i can have my visa screen screen certificate? hope you could respond my concern on this matter..thank you and more power..
You need to verify with your review center first and then if they have processed your application. If yes, ask for your CGFNS ID number from them because each applicant is assigned with one from there you would be able to go to the CGNFS Site and track your application. Let me know if I can help you further.

Hi Ms. Gillen,
Thank you for being supportive and i think i’m thanking you a little late that’s due to boxbe never opened it before not until one of my contacts said the message he sent bounced so i checked on it and found so many messages that i’d been waiting for sometime all there and it included yours,ha,ha,now i realize the importance of doing some extra reading…well the reason why i said i cannot retake NLE anymore,i guess(but hope there were changes made)it’s because it’s only good for two years according to the book:Professional Nursing in the Philippines,page16:”Renewal examination shall be taken within two years after the last failed exam” since the first exam which i mentioned “i didn’t make it”(just so shy to say i failed)and this Nov. is the 2nd year after my first take..but oh thank you for your kind assistance and for giving me the hope to make it.Hope you have an update on NLE retaking. Thank you
