im glad to see ur website and it is so nice of you to help us your fellow nurses..
i have certain concerns and hoping you could help me..
Thank you so much for the kind words. I’m just glad I am able to help our fellow nurses. Now on with the answers to your queries
first: is it true that if I will apply for New York NCLEX-RN i must get CVS first and wait for it for about 7-8 months? is it really that long? then after that i will have to wait for another 4-5 months for eligibility?
Yes it is true that you need the CVS to apply for NCLEX-RN in New York. You can apply to the New York Board of Nursing and then at the same time apply for the CVS since they would be the one to forward the results to the NY Board of Nursing. As for the waiting time, that I cannot vouch for but you can always check the status of your application with them online.
second: if i will apply for CA NCLEX-RN and fortunately i will passed it, is it possible that i could apply and get a job at NY instead? how?
You would have to transfer your license to New York and you would still need to fulfill their requirements in order to transfer your license.
i will appreciate any information that you could give me.. thank you! God Bless!

hi ms. joan… may alam po ba kayong review center dito sa san diego california for nclexrn na nagoofer ng one month review?kasi po puro 3 days or good for one week lang ung review na parang seminar lang po…
So far the reviews I have taken there were 3-4 days lecture. At first, I had my reservation as well but I eventually availed of Sally Lagerquist’s review which was for four days only but was very efficient. You can always go for Kaplan which I think have longer review days but of course are pricier.

mam… i’ve just received a letter from Cali BON and asking me to send them:
1. a copy of my nursing license. does this means that i will photocopy my license (and have it notarized)and send it to them, or are they refering to board ratings from PRC?
Just a certified photocopy will do. Have the photocopy of your license certified by PRC.
2. a copy of my nursing diploma(where will i get it? ‘coz some said it is issued by PRC,some said it is the school diploma)…. am i going to send them the original copy or photocopy only of my nursing diploma?
To be safe, just provide them a copy of both and have it certified by your school and PRC.
thanks for the wonderful heart that helps…God speed!
Glad to be of help

hi to ms joan…the BON just replied to me and they’re asking me to provide a copy of license but i already gave them a copy of my diploma and an explanation letter stated all the reasons and i also included my board rating and certification from the PRC..what do u think is the problem and the solution for this…hope to hear from you soon…thanks and god bless
Provide them with your license I mean as much as you have provided them with almost all documents you cannot argue with them. So all you have to do is provide them with a copy of your license and have it certified by PRC for additional precaution on your part. Hope this helps.
