hi, im a greencard holder, i wish to take the nclex in LA.. i didn’t take the NLE in PHIL. will i still need to write an explanation letter? also, sa pag apply sa nclex, should i pass ALL together the forms (diploa,fingerprint) or unahin muna ung application form? then, dpat bang sabay ung pag pass nung school ung TOR ko and den my application or unahin mna ang application forms? please help me. im reallyconfused. thanks

You will still need to write a letter of explanation even if you are a green card holder. You will pass your application form first together with the other requirements such as copy of your RN Diploma, Fingerprint Card etc. All school records should come from the school not with your personal application or your own address. It does not matter which one goes first though, it would be better if your application comes first just as to have a basis as to what the school records are for. The more important thing is that the school records will come from the school NOT from you.

First you need to download the International Nurse NCLEX Pass Endorsement Application. Most of the information you need are there.

First,  i know i need to apply for CES, but there are 2 types of CES report, which one should i apply for? Healthcare Profession and Science Report, or Full Education Course-by-Course Report??

You can choose any of the two. They accept both reports.

Second, Vermont requires Candidate Report from California, how will i apply for it??

You need to write them a letter requesting for a copy of your test results and have it sent to the Vermont Board of Nursing. Do not forget to include a payment of $10 for the said request. It should be in a form of manager’s check payable to the BOARD OF REGISTERED NURSING.

Third, does the Request for Academic Records For Credentials Evaluation Service should really come straight from my school or can i include it with my application. Same as with the Request for Validation of Registration/License For Credentials Evaluation Service from PRC?? Super thank you miss joan. . .ü

All of these should come from the school especially if you are to send it to CGFNS. They are very much particular when it comes to these things. So be sure to follow their instructions carefully. Hope this helped

Getting a Visa Screen is usually a requirement of an employer and yes you could get one even if you do not have one yet. Basic requirements in order for you to obtain a Visa Screen is a BSN degree, NCLEX-RN Passer and IELTS or TOEFL passer. If you do not have any one of these I would suggest completing first such and then proceeding to applying for your Visa Screen.

you know what we have exactly the same case, cali to IL license, same prob no SSN,….our difference is just that im here right now in IL for a vacation, i can take advantage of my stay to process…but im not also sure of the outcome, i called BON CA, they say i can do the verification licensure part with them even without ssn, from there we can have a good start,…prepare the aplication for lic, cgfns ces report, live scan finger printing… fees to complete on the packet requirements before submission…really im kinda having a headache with all the steps, paper works and etc..please advise as well with anyone who’ve got expert knowledge…can we do endorsement process…without ssn yet.

Endorsement will not be an issue even if you do not hold a SSN because the state where you hold a current license will just need to verify that you passed the NCLEX and they will endorse it to the state in which you applied in. The main issue will be even if your license is transfered they might not be able to provide you with an actual license if you do not hold a SSN. But this will vary depending on which state you are applying.

Hi,i need guidance in my visascreen application. I am a registered nurse and already passed my nclex and ielts. I would like to apply for visascreen but do not know where to start.What is the first step I should take? What are the fees I should pay? Please help.

Well first you can dowload the application at the CGFNS site. From there try to read through the instructions that comes with the forms. You can either mail the application or apply online which is far more convenient. There would be forms that needs to be accomplished by your school, PRC and IELTS so after applying to CGFNS you need to do those. Its important to apply to CGFNS first since you’ll be needing the order # form that they will provide once you applied. Fees are mentioned in the forms estimate of about $300 or so and then of course there will be fees incurred when you request stuff from your school, PRC and IELTS.

Yes that is fine you are only using the California address for mailing purposes. It would be conflicting to have a Philippine address in your documents and then using a California address in others. You choose either one of the two.

After getting your eligibility, you need to register to PearsonVue to get your ATT. Registration is $200 and additional $150 if taking the exam outside US territories. Please bear in mind that once you register with PearsonVue you are given one year to take the examination. Just make sure when you register, you are ready to take the exam within the year.

I’m having a problem. Malapit na po ako makumpleto sa mga reqts ko sa nclex cali except po yung payment for application fee and fingerprint hard scan. Kailangan po ba talaga na may naka-attach na payment na bankdraft don? Or is there a way po to pay them through credit card after ipadala po yun reqts? Wala po kasi akong dollar account for the demand draft or bank draft.

Your application will not be processed without the application fee. You just need to go to a bank and ask for their process on how to make a bank draft. A bank draft is similar to a manager’s check. It would be best to go to a bank where you have an account so they can assist you better. Hope this helped. Also make sure to make the draft payable to BOARD OF REGISTERED NURSING.

If you have no experience after schooling then write none. As for your nursing education you will write BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING as degree obtained. I hope this answered your question.

I failed the Vermont- Nclex for the 2nd time,I just want to ask about the  re-take application form because they revised it. Do I need to accomplish  the page 5, “Verification of International Registered Nursing licensure-Re Take Enclosure?  I sent already the copy of my professional license certified by PRC way back 2007.

There is a revised form for NCLEX-RN Retake for Vermont. Please be reminded that you must complete a formal NCLEX review as stated in the forms. I think you should accomplish that form and have it sent to PRC since this part of the revised application.

hello! good day! I just would like to ask if both the IELTS and NCLEX certification does expire? I seek to be licensed in new york and I am waiting for my eligibility from the NY state board of nursing. I am scheduled to take the IELTS exam next week and I am having second thoughts since I have heard that the IELTS certificate should be used within two years.

Yes the IELTS has a 2 year validity period. As for the NCLEX, it depends on what state you applied to since they differ from one another. The IELTS is mainly used in obtaining the VisaScreen certificate. I think the 2 year validity would be enough to accomplish everything.

Hi. Please tell me how to use saunders compre book. Do you have a plan on how to go through this book? I did suzanne’s first tip only to find out that it is not available anymore. Now, i am totally lost. I don’t know what to do. Please help me.

Obviously, I am not allowed to disclose Suzanne’s method in approaching the book. Have you tried to contact here with regards to her process? Personally, like you, I found the book quite overwhelming. Here is the thing, if you have like tons of time prior to the exam this is a good book to start on since it discusses the topics comprehensively. What you can do is answer the Q&A part of the book per chapter just to assess your knowledge per subject matter. After that, go through the comprehensive lecture and then re-answer the Q&A. I know by the time you re-answer the Q&A you would have had the answer at the top of your head, but just make sure to rationalize with yourself as a way of really knowing that you understood the concept. You can download the New York Nursing Application Packet which contains all information and forms in the link provided. IELTS is not a standard requirement it depends on the state in which you are applying to. Like for example in NY, its not a requirement but they do require you to have your school credentials verified by CGNFS and avail of their services called Credential Verification Service for New York State as well as the Child Abuse Seminar.

Hi! I would just like to ask if it’s ok to use my Nevada fingerprint card in applying for California NCLEX?

Nope you cannot use it. Since each state has something imprinted on the Fingerprint Card that is for their own use. Specifically, Nevada fingerprint cards have the address of the state Board of Nevada and they have a code written in the Reason Fingerprinted as well as the MNU box. If you use their cards it might create conflict with your application. You can request for California Fingerprint Cards at the link provided.

Usually VisaScreen processes papers with an estimate of 1-3 months this is considering that all your papeworks proceed smoothly without problems. In my case, I had difficulty with my PRC License verification that is why mine took 3 months but if I did not have any issues it would have been finished at an earlier time. My best advice is for you to track the status of your application at the CGFNS website since all of the correspondence would be done through the site. If you do not have a CGFNS account you can register online for free.

Congratulations on passing the exam. Here is the thing, I am not familiar with how the law works there in the UK because a lot has to be taken in consideration. Your status there in the UK will determine on what you can and cannot do. But the best advice I could give you is to talk to a lawyer who has a far more knowledge when it comes to these things.

Usually, what is being checked in your ATT when you take the exam is your complete name and picture and is then being compared with the information in your passport. But if you want to be sure you can contact PearsonVue and ask them if it would be an issue.

That’s okay as mentioned is that when they look at your ATT what is being compared is your complete name and ID picture in your passport.

California BON is getting Strict and conforming with the Requirement of TEXAS Board of Nursing (BON) a Philippine License Nurse is NOW REQUIRED Before you can have a NCLEX RN EXAM (ATT) with Pearson Vue TEXAS BON and CALIFORNIA BON will require CES (Credential Evaluation service) for all foreign Nursing Graduate check out  IERF.ORG and ERES and CGFNS they all provide Nursing Credential Evaluation

Last time I checked the California Board of Registered Nursing has not changed any of their requirements with regards to school credentials. The CES is NOT a requirement in California Board of Registered Nursing you just need to submit the school forms to your college/ university and then have them provide the necessary information and papers then send them.

Hi. My dilemma is about the endorsement of license from California to Illinois. I haven’t passed the exam yet. I don’t have an SSN. Somebody told me that I would not be able to apply for endorsement because CAlifornia issues the license once you have an SSN. Is that true? As far as I know you still can as long as you inform the CA BON that you do not have a SSN yet. All you have to do is send the forms required by the Illinois to California BON and then include the fee they require for processing such requirement which you can find in their site.
