Q&A: Renewing US License, Reapplying and more…
MAE
Hello, I passed the NCLEX 2 years ago and they gave me a license card with an active status on it. Now I’m quite confused kung valid ba yun kasi dun sa application form ko, nilagay ko SSN ko sa phils. instead na US-SSN..so i thought kaya nila ako binigyan ng license kasi may SSN nakalagay dun. NOw my license is about to expire and kelangan ko na i-renew. HIndi ko alam kung ano next step ang gagawin ko. Do I have to renew my license? Do I have to apply for visascreen? Di ba kelangan mag provide ako ng validity of passing the NCLEX? Thank you and I hope you could help me with my dilemma.
Sad to say this might not work since they are strict with the SSN. Obviously you need to renew your license still and I don’t think applying for VisaScreen would help since the main issue is the SSN. You can always give it a try to renew your license with California which can be done online but do bear in mind that they have requirements such as the 30 hours Continuing Education etc. You can read more about it at the California Board of Registered Nursing site.

Hi I was planning to apply NCLEX Cali but disappointed with the new memo.. Can I take the exam even without SSN? or it is a part of the requirements NO SSN NO NCLEX?thanks
NO SSN NO NCLEX Examination is their new policy so it would be best to consider applying to other states.

just wanted to ask lng po if pnu ggwin ko kung nkpgapply nko ng nclex ko before..i received already the att sa examko kxo po di po aku nkpgpschedule ng exam at nglapsed nlng po xa kc ngpunta po me ng saudi..kung mgaaply po bko ulit ng nclex exam pnu po un back to zero again..anu anu po un ggwin..considered failed po bako nun khit nde aku ngexam o wla lng po un..thanks po..
It depends how long since you applied to your chosen state board if it has been more than 3 years chances are your application has already been destroyed and would have to reapply again. You were not able to schedule an examination so I guess it would be considered as forfeited not necessarily failed.

want to schedule now my NCLEX-RN exam, I am planning to take this December,2010. I find a hard time paying for scheduling because I don’t have a credit card? Paano ba yan, may agency ba na makatulong sa akin, O kung magopen ako ng crdit card, where is the best bank I can open, is this a good idea to open, at in dollars ba tlaga ang account o pwede in pesos na lang? Please reply me…. thank you.
There are some agencies who does that but aside for scheduling the NCLEX-RN exam for you they will have other fees for using their service. You can always apply for a card but there is no assurance that you will be approved for your credit card application. Best thing you can do is ask your friends who have credit card if you can use it and in return pay them in cash whatever amount in their card you are going to use. If you are using a card it does not really matter if its in US or Philippine currency they will just convert it.

I received my license from PA, but I will not be able to renew it because I have no SS number yet. What should I do?Which State allows license to be renew even without SSN? So that I can endorse my license to that State
Vermont is one state you can apply in. They have special applications for NCLEX Endorsements for International Nurses without SSN.

are there any other states aside from Saipan that does not require SSN,CES and the like? I was trying to pursue a license in Cali or Arkansas but i don’t have SSN that’s why i’m looking for another state for nclex application. Any information regarding this matter would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much and God bless you all.
Most states do require CES so consider applying for one and see it more of as an investment since you can use it in multiple states. As for the SSN states such as Vermont do not require one but they do need a CES Report.
