Lahat po ng requirements ko ay pinasa ko na. Pero may hiningi pa po ang CA BON ng additional documents from my school. Tapos pinadala na po and according sa tracking no. naipadla po ng August 30, 2010. Ng-email po sa akin ang system analyst ko sabi niya up to now wala pa rin daw po siyang natatanggap from my school. Tapos isinend ko po sa kanya yung report ng DHL na may tumanggap na at nagsign na. Anu po kaya ang possible na naging problem dun at anu ang dapat kong gawin? Thank you po!

Things like this happen and if the CA BON claims that they did not get it then most probably they really did not get it. the best thing to do right now is comply again with the said requirements. As much you want to find out what happened it will not solve your problem in terms of accomplishing your application with the CA BON. It would be best to try another courier when mailing your requirements.

i , i would like to ask help n suggestions about my NCLEX iligibility in california which will be expiring in august next year.i took it here in the philippines. i want to transfer it in new york. can you please help me in this matter..

At this point, it would be best to pursuit and take the NCLEX-RN for California then endorse your license to New York. Either way you would have to fulfill requirements for New York but at least you have the exam out of the way.

Hi mam joan..i’m so happy to your reply…thank you..I really need help to endorse my lisence so that it will not expire…maybe you know how hard it it is to pass..all the review and money spent…What are the steps i need to do to endorse my lisence? Anyway my relatives are in new york… Which is better to endorse my license in new york or in vermont? Is new york requiring ssn? thanks again …God bless and more power…

I think New York does not require a SSN but they have more requirements than Vermont. It is up to you whether or not to pursuit New York or Vermont whichever you think will work well for you.

hi mam.. i have another inquiry po..i already received my eligibility frm vermont for the nclex. but my frend told me if i have plans to work to NY i should have apply instead to NY for my nclex so i will no longer request for reciprocity. do you think that would be a better idea? i know i stll need to pay again if i change my state and i also consider that it will take 5-6months for the approval of reciprocity

I think your friend has a point but the thing is your eligibility is already there so might as well go for it. You cannot have 2 applications at the same time. And even if you forfeit your application for Vermont do keep in mind that you would have to fulfill requirements for New York BON and that incurs time and another set of expenses.

hi! i passed the board exam here in the Philippines and I am planning to take the NCLEX exam, the problem here is that i dont know where state i will apply. We have relatives in California and our petition papers is still on the process. Many said that application in NCLEX cali will require SSN, and is the license renewable? Sabi kase nila pahirapan daw mga requirements, maselan and all. Any advice on which state I will apply? But i plan to work in Cali, i will just request the state to recommend me to Cali…

At this moment, if you do not have a SSN you will not be eligible to apply for NCLEX-RN in California. You can apply to any state which you prefer and later on transfer your license to California.

ms joan. pinadala ko last month ang retake application form ko sa vermont kaso i have a big problem, yung 1st nclex exam ko i was an RN sa Middle East (ME) kaya sinama ko yung ME sa Work history ko kaso dahil sa kulang experience ko dito sa philippines my license sa ME was cancelled after 6 months(sa middle east po kasi, exam muna bago ang verification). kaya sa retake application ko, hindi ko na po sinama ang ME sa work history and they were asking why. so sinabi ko ang reason kaso they were asking for an explanation letter from my employer which i dont have kasi nasa manila na ako ngayon. ano po sa tingin mo ang pwede kong gawin? yan na lang po kasi nagdedelay ng application form ko. i hope i uou coukd help me with this. and if its okay with you, can you  email me please. thank you very much!

I am sorry to hear about such news. Here is the thing there were discrepancies in your forms that is why Vermont BON is now asking. You should have declared the same thing when you reapplied for Vermont despite whatever circumstances have occurred when you were in Middle East. But since we cannot do anything about that the best thing is to provide the Vermont BON with the requirement they are asking. Is there any way to contact your employer or the board of nursing you applied in when you were in the Middle East? Getting an explanation from any of the 2 is your best chance to move forward with your application.

miss joan…I just passed my NCLEX-RN exam this Aug. 2010 and i was shock because they require me a valid US SSN and im not an immigrant for me to be able to get a ssn. May I know what is CES? Im planning for an endorsement in Vermont because they dont require ssn? Is the process difficult or i need an agency to help me with it? Thanks a lot for the information… More power and God bless…

Congratulations! CES is the Credentials Evaluation Services which is conducted by CGFNS wherein they look into your nursing education and see if it suffices US Standards. Yes you are correct Vermont does not require SSN for International Nurses. The process is fairly simple and you can do it on your own. I would be more than willing to help you. It is possible to start your process within 2 weeks but I don’t think you can finish the process in 2 weeks. The CES requirement that Vermont has might take around 1-3 months before they forward the result to Vermont.

Hi, just want to ask….i lost my cgfns certi years ago..now i would like to apply for issuance of a new certi but don’t know how….couldn’t remember my cgfns number as well….

If you applied online it might be possible to retrieve your username and password from the CGFNS Website. Worse case scenario try calling the CGFNS hotline +1 (215) 349-8767 Mondays to Fridays 8- 12 noon Eastern Time.

i am applying for endorsement for vermont, what type of CES should I apply?

As taken from the application form:

Applicants are encouraged to apply online foreither the Full Education Course-by-CourseReport or the Healthcare Profession andScience Report that is specifically for the State of Vermont.
So either of the two would do.

My daughter holding a US passport and born in Saipan. She graduated nursing in Philippines but she did’nt take the board exam. Can she take the Nclex in Saipan although she’s not a board passer? What are the requirements? Can she get the ssn there in Saipan? Please advice me.

Unfortunately it is very hard to obtain a copy of the Northern Mariana Island application as this is done by request. Since your daughter is a US Citizen it is understood that she cannot sit for the local board examination. If asked by the Saipan BON then she can just write a letter explaining why she was not able to take the examination. As for the SSN I might not be in the best position to answer such query. hi i got ahm, i graduated from the philippines, but i am an American citizen, do i need to have to take the NLE for the philippines to be able to take the nclex? cant i just take the nclex directly since i wont be working in the philippines.

Legally speaking you will not be allowed to take the NLE if you are not a US Citizen. If ever a BON asks for a license where you were educated then you can just write a letter of explanation giving a reason why you do not hold such license.

Hello! I would like to ask kung mag-eexpired na ung license ko, pwede bang mag-renew?? Or mag-tatake ako ulit ng exam? ganun rin po ba and IELTS? may balak po kasi mag NCLEX exam sa guam. Thanks!

What license are we talking about? If you are talking about your Philippine license I think it is a must for you to renew it practicing or not. As for the IELTS the results of your exam is only valid for 2 years afterwards you would have to retake it.

I already have an SSN but I’m not yet an RN and no plans to take NLE bcoz I already move to Chicago. Does Illinois require a local license?How about California?,pls.do care to give/ suggest  expert opinions. Thanks sa philippinenursesinfo …ur a big help!

Glad to be of help. California requires a license where you were educated not unless you have a valid reason why you do not hold such license. And I would think the same for Illinois. You can always apply but be prepared if ever they ask why you do not hold a license in the country where you were educated.

I had my license last Jun 09, i wanted to take up CGFNS or NCLEX.. But i have a dillema to take up CGFNS.. Is it still important? I am planning to apply in Delaware, as what I have researched, they wanted a CFNS first to be able to apply for NCLEX… is my analyzation right? Your reply is greatly appreciated :)

In some states such as Texas and Delaware CGFNS certificate  is still a requirement. So yes your analysis is correct.
